The Mary Roebling International Travel Award provides funding for HSS students to travel outside the United States to conduct advanced undergraduate work under the auspices of the College. More specifically, the fund supports international travel for research, scholarship, creative work, service, and/or internship related to the student’s academic program. The fund was created in honor to the late Mary Roebling by Gale Wayman ’70 (English Education). For nearly half a century Roebling distinguished herself as one of the nation’s top banking executives and as one of Trenton’s most passionate philanthropists.
HSS students planning on study abroad for Spring or early Summer 2022 looking for financial support should consider applying for a Roebling Award. The deadline for applications is November 1, 2021. Students planning on studying abroad in Fall 2022 will be able to apply for awards in the spring. The committee overseeing the Roebling Award is hosting an informational session on Wednesday, October 6th at 10:00 in SSB 241 and via Zoom https://tcnj.zoom.us/s/94790080809. All HSS students interested in studying abroad in the spring or early summer are encouraged to attend.
Submit applications by email to Mrs. Anne Marie Maratea, HSS Management Assistant, email@example.com. Questions about the Roebling award may be directed to Dr. Nicholas Toloudis, Chair, Roebling Award Committee, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
